Audible Journey is an online application that helps people find walking tours they can trust by soliciting and aggregating content from tour providers and other travel-related business as well as reviews of those tour providers and businesses from users of the Audible Journey site. To accomplish this, our users write reviews about walking tours and other businesses that are posted to the Audible Journey Site. These reviews can then be accessed and read by other Audible Journey users. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, a "user" is defined as someone using the Audible Journey Site. To fulfill the purpose of our site, we need to display a limited amount of personal information, so that users are able to evaluate the trustworthiness of a particular review.
By using Audible Journey, you permit the collection and use of your personal information as outlined below in our Privacy Policy. You should visit this page periodically to review any changes to the Privacy Policy.
I. Information We Collect
As described in our Terms of Service, Audible Journey collects user-submitted account information which may include your name and email address, the name and email addresses of individuals with whom you may wish to share Audible Journey content, and for Premium Services, your address, telephone number, and credit card number. Audible Journey also collects user submitted reviews and ratings of walking tours, tour providers, and other travel-related businesses. If you do not want to provide Audible Journey with any personally identifiable information, you should not use the Audible Journey Services that require such information.
We may also request some non-personally identifiable information, such as age, gender, zip or postal code, city and country of residence, and information regarding travel preference and travel plans. Some information collected is not explicitly submitted by the user; we log your browser-type related information, IP address, requested URL, referring URL, and timestamp, as well as the information regarding usage of the Audible Journey website.
II. How We Use Your Information
We will use your personal information to deliver you the Audible Journey Services and send you notices related to the Audible Journey Services, your account and necessary updates. This includes fulfilling your requests for products and services and delivering content to you that is sent by other users.
We may also use your personal information to send you emails concerning offers of products and services presented by Audible Journey and our Business Partners, unless you have requested that we do not do so.
Information such as your full name, alias, and any personally identifiable information you have included in your reviews may be shown primarily in conjunction with reviews you have contributed. Your full name and email address may also be used when you send an email notification to a friend (such as in an invitation to view a walking tour or when sharing a review).
Browser-type related information, IP address, requested URL, referring URL, website usage data, and timestamp data help us diagnose problems with our server, administer Audible Journey, and otherwise provide the highest possible level of service to you. In addition, we use this information to perform statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the site and to inform advertisers and businesses listed on the Audible Journey Services of such information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to, or clicked on, their advertisements or listings. To do this we may combine information that we have about you with information that we obtain from business partners or other companies. We may also release aggregate demographic information about user trends to partners and other third parties, including third-party advertisers on the Audible Journey Services. An example of this type of information would be patterns of use of the Audible Journey Services based on postal code or age group. We also retain aggregated log files of requested content in order to report overall product usage to content partners and to evaluate User trends.
III. Transfer of Information
Audible Journey may disclose personally identifiable information to its partners in order to provide the Audible Journey Services, resolve service problems and correct errors in the Audible Journey Services (including customer inquiries, billing and credit corrections), to communicate with you about the Audible Journey Services, to provide you with advertising and promotional information in connection with the Audible Journey Services, and to enhance your experience on the Audible Journey Services. However, these companies do not have an independent right to share this information. Due to our contractual obligations with these third parties and the need to share personally identifiable information to deliver and support the Audible Journey Services, we cannot provide you with the opportunity to opt-out of sharing personally identifiable information with these third parties.

We reserve the right to transfer your personal information in the event of a transfer of ownership of Audible Journey, such as an acquisition by or merger with another company.

IV. Links and Third Party Promotions
Our website contains links to third party websites and describes third party businesses with which we have no affiliation and over which we have no control. Audible Journey does not share your personal information with those websites and is not responsible for their privacy practices. We suggest you read the privacy polices on these third party websites. Audible Journey also wishes to remind its users that the use of many of the businesses listed or advertised in the Audible Journey Services involves in-person interactions in unfamiliar surroundings, and that individuals should use the same degree of caution they would use in any similar situation.
If you chose to enter a promotion, sweepstakes, or contest hosted by Audible Journey or sponsored by Audible Journey and/or one of our partners, we (and/or our promotional partner) may ask for your name, address, and/or email address. You may be asked to provide additional information or to answer certain questions, some of which may be optional, in order to participate. We and/or our partner may contact you in connection with a particular promotion, such as a sweepstakes or contest, in order to update you of your status, administer the promotion, let you know that a promotion has ended, and for other purposes. Promotions that are hosted on the Audible Journey Services may be sponsored by Audible Journey, may be co-sponsored by Audible Journey and another company, or may be sponsored by companies other than Audible Journey. Some or all of the data collected during a promotion may be shared with the sponsor(s) or companies indicated on the entry form. We may use third-party companies to generate and manage some of our promotional campaigns. VI. Controlling Your Personal Information

As a registered Audible Journey user, you can modify your personal information at any time by accessing the "Member Home" section of the Audible Journey Site. Also, upon your request, Audible Journey will use commercially reasonable efforts to functionally remove you and your personal information from the site; however, it may be impossible to remove your entry without some residual information being retained by Audible Journey. Registered users who wish to close their account should contact us.

Your Audible Journey account is password-protected. Audible Journey tries very hard to protect our users' information. We use industry standard measures to protect your information that is stored within our database. We limit the access to your information to those employees who need access to perform their job function such as our customer service personnel. Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, due to the open nature of communication through the Internet, we cannot assure you that personally identifiable information that we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.
You hereby acknowledge that Audible Journey is not responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet, and you hereby release us from any and all claims arising out of or related to the use of intercepted information in any unauthorized manner.
We will use reasonable efforts to comply with this Privacy Policy and will take prompt corrective action when we learn of any failure to comply with our Privacy Policy. We sometimes release beta versions of our products and services, which are further refined before the release of the final version. Because these products and services are still in a test phase, we may not always catch an unintended privacy issue, despite our efforts to do so. In light of the above and because of the complex and constantly changing nature of our technology and business, and the security risks associated with using the Internet, Audible Journey does not guarantee error-free performance under this Privacy Policy. VIII. Emails and Opt-out
Users may opt-out of receiving marketing notifications initiated by Audible Journey (note: notification settings can be found in the profile editing options under the "Member Home" tab).
IX. Children
This website is not directed to children, and Audible Journey does not knowingly solicit information from any child under the age of 13. Should a child whom we know to be under 13 send personal information to us, we will use that information only to respond directly to that child (or a parent or guardian) to inform him or her that we must have parental consent before receiving his or her personal information, and we will then delete that personal information from our records.
X. Terms and Modifications to this Privacy Statement
By using the website, you signify your agreement to the terms of our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the site. Audible Journey may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If a material change is made to this Privacy Policy and/or the way we use our users' personally identifiable information, then we will post a prominent notice of the nature of such change on the first page of this Privacy Policy and also on our home page.
